Send us a text

In this episode of the Playful Connection Podcast, Eddie Shin will share four  simple tips on how to become a supportive presence in your child or teen’s life.

1. Listen Without Fixing
2. Show Up Consistently
3. Encourage Their Strengths and Passions
4. Be Their Safe Place

Being a supportive presence is like being a sturdy bridge—strong, reliable, and always there when needed. Just as a bridge helps people cross over obstacles safely, your steady presence helps guide your child or teen through life’s ups and downs. Some days, they may only need to glance at the bridge for reassurance; other days, they may need to lean on it entirely. Either way, knowing you’re there creates security and trust, allowing them to confidently explore the world while always having a safe way back home.
